What stupid things do you buy that make triathlon purchases seem reasonable in comparison?

I kind of like your bird. Was it something your s.o. wanted? Do you have a link to a place that has them that you can post? I’m kind of intrigued…

“Was it something your SO wanted.” OUCH!

Food.

Whether it’s a meal at a high-end restaurant or prime meats and top-drawer ingredients to prepare the best at home, we spend absolutely stupid amounts of money for something that’s consumed and gone in a relative flash.

Not sure if this applies but I have a collection of 400 odd music CD’s and 600+ vinyl LP’s. I am told that the CD’s are going to be next to worthless soon, while some of the Vinyl LP’s may actually be worth some decent $$$.

Irishsailsman,
I thought mine was over the top until I read yours. But only one driver?
Before Triathlon I was into golf.
The heads on my irons are completely reconditioned tour issue cryogenically treated with cryogenically treated “fit” tour shafts.
All my woods and rescue clubs are tour issue with custom fit $200.00 - $300.00 dollar shafts.
One summer I went through 7 drivers. My wife accused me of having a driver fetish. She was probably right.
Current driver is a tour issue with a $400.00 custom fit shaft.
I didn’t keep track of the money spent on lessons.

But then I didn’t have all the other expenses you listed, Except my $38,000.00 Silverado

I haven’t hit a golf ball in the last two yrs since taking up triathlon.

I tell the guys I used to golf with " I do this so I can golf when im in my 70’s "
