What size Speed Concepts are you riding?

I realize that bike fit is everything, and a bike fit before buying a bike is ideal, but unfortunately I’m not in a position to do this, and likely won’t even be able to sit on the bike before purchasing. I’m liking the look of the Trek Speed Concept 7 range, and from what I understand they are fairly easy to adjust to fit a number of different body types.

As part of narrowing down the correct size for me, I thought I’d see what other people of a similar size are riding. I’m a fraction under 6ft with just under a 32in inseam (longer torso and arms). It sounds like the Medium may be the way to go as I might not be able to get the seat post high enough on the large to get the desired drop to the bars, but then having a longer torso I don’t want to end up to squashed or have a really long stem.

So…what sizes are you riding and what’s your height, inseam?

I posted a similar question last week “Anyone 5’10” riding a large speed concept 7.xx?"

I am not as tall as you, but I seem to be best fit to a large. I will be running a -17 degree stem with it a small spacer. Based on my fit bike coordinates, I needed the large for the reach I required. I also swapped the bontrager pads for profile f-19s (they PD have a slightly lower profile).

With a medium, I would have had to run a 110 or 120 degree stem.

I’m 6’0" and my inseam is 34.5" (long legs). I ride a large SC 9.9 with the 60/45 stem.

I’m 6’2", 32" inseam, riding a large SC 9.9.

I am the same as you, just under 6 foot and 32 inch inseam. Ride a medium 9.9 Speed Concept with a 45/110 stem. Chose with Carls help and my LBS help.
