I rode (Col) Port de Pailheres (stage 14), starting in Esperaza, the week before the TdF started and then bought myself a polka dot cap at a little truckstop (run by an ex-pro cyclist) near Axat on the way back as I thought that it would be a good reminder of my own little brush with the mountains, and having nothing decent to climb here (Singapore) it was a VERY big mountain! I nearly bought the generic polka dot jersey for the same reason. If I go back next year and do the same ride I will. If its generic and you like the idea of a climb, keep it.
