What other sports did you play?

Football 5th grade to Free Agent with Chicago Bears
Natural BodyBuilding 23 to 33
Then Tri’s
.

Football from 6th grade thru HS. This was my thing. Could have played in college at D2 schools, but I wanted a “big college” experience. My “coolest” recruiting letter was from Harvard. I hope my parents still have it.

Sheesh. Who turns down Harvard?!

I wasn’t quite an offer for a scholarship or anything. Just a letter of interest that was sent out to “slightly better than average” football players. Had I known then what I know now, I probably should have at least pursued it a little. But there would have no way that my parents could have afforded to send me there.

I played Sports a lot in the 1980’s.

Ding-ding We have a winner!

Rowing. Training for that was so intense there was no time or energy left for other sports!

Nowadays its just soccer and triathlon.

Wrestling and Lacrosse where my only sports.

Still play in some lacrosse leagues, but triathlon is starting to consume my time.

These are sports I did for more than 3 years

  • Golf
  • Baseball
  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Track
  • Water Skiing
  • Snow Skiing
  • Martial Arts
  • Rock Climbing
  • Ultimate

.

Rode horses and swam in high school.

Here’s my sport I played in some organized form from a young age, some through high school*:
-Basketball* - 12 yrs
-Cross Country* - 6 yrs

    .

Serious stuff:

Rugby, rugby, rugby during school & college and for about 10 years afterwards (UK)
Div. 1 slalom kayak (UK)

Recreational:

Rowing
Soccer

Baseball
Hockey
High school football
.

Paintball?

Paintball kicks your butt! I have never gotten serious about it, because it gets so freaking expensive, but if money wasn’t an object, I would play twice a month. I am always sore for a few days afterward. A lot of fun, and a huge switch up from any other sport.

Your not joking! luckly i had some sponsors that helped take the sting off playing. I was playing/practicing 3-4 a week leading into events.

A lot of martial arts and high school XC when I was younger. Dabbled in Judo and Capoeira since then.

Football from age 8 until I graduated High School, wrestled in middle school and HS. In college I boxed and ran cross country and I have been doing bjj/muay thai off and on since then. Have tried golf, never really enjoyed it and triathlon is expensive enough. I have surfed/snow boarded since I was young but dont do it nearly enough anymore.

HS Varsity Sports:

Football
Baseball
Basketball
Soccer
Wrestling
Tennis
Swimming
Skied competitively too on the side (HS did not have a team)

In retrospect, guess I had a little bit of ADD.

Somehow forgot that my best sport, still do it quite a bit only not competitively, involves standing in place on a 3’ x 3’ block of concrete - skeet shooting. Talk about expensive…

Rode horses and team roped through High School. In college discovered volleyball and played indoors and beach at the AA level until I tore my ACL. Then taught myself to swim and started doing triathlons. discovered I enjoyed running way more than swimming, so running ultra’s became my main sport for a number of years, but I am going to start doing tri’s again next year.
Along the way have wind surfed, climbed, tried to surf, played raquetball tourneys and just tried to have fun.

Hockey ( surprise?)
Golf
Track
Cross country running
Cross country skiing
Karate
Downhill skiing
Snowboarding
Roller hockey
.

Track & field, basketball, volleyball and soccer in high school, until senior year when I fell in more with the party crowd.

X-country and downhill skiing, curling, soccer, roller blading, scuba diving, automobile racing and pub league darts as an adult. Don’t know if you could really classify darts as a sport, but it was still quite competitive.

rugby!
