What kind of lightbulb is this?

This one is burnt out and I need a replacement. Roll of tape is for size perspective.

Just a 2-pin track light bulb. This is the first one that popped up on the googles, I’m sure there arr many other examples:

Nope. Look at the prongs on my bulb. Doesn’t look the same at all.

GU20, I think.

Was going to go with GU10. I would need to Google the difference - I think GU10 is more common.

Yeah I googled GU 20 and it seems the GU10 is what I have.

Thanks folks.

Ah - you be right. Definitely GU something though.

We had this light out in in 2015. It has 4 of these bulbs and this is the first one to burn out.

I don’t know, but it gives me an idea…

Bwahaaahaaahaaaaaahaaaaa

You are correct, I gave it a very cursory look-see.

Seems like some people came through for you; what did it come outta?

Laundry room lighting.

Down here in Australia they are GU10

Sooo… track lighting.

Yes but still not the bulb you said.

Everything one would need to know is stamped on it

Don’t ask more questions than you need to

Our Xmas tree lights crapped out*, but not totally; I figured it was just a AC/DC converter. I undid it, ran the appropriate specs through Google and found the replacement through GE; two days down-time

.* not surprising, as we’ve kept our tree up for about 2&half years now; MIL liked looking at it, and we felt weird about taking it down. Now that she’s passed, path forward is TBD?

Interesting palette choice

Point was it’s a two-pin track light bulb, and easily googled. Sure, I didn’t invest enough time to find the correct bulb, but it seems like you invested less time than I did (Note: I spent maybe 45 seconds on it).

That’s something we would see out of Windy; I expected better from you.

Oh, I know that, Randy - light bulbs are about the easiest thing to find replacements for (except occasionally some odd over-the-range microwave bulbs, or some knock-off Chinese bulbs where they don’t put any markings on them).

Always enjoyed your MIL stories; I hope the tree and the lights have provided for some warm memories this season.

Wife wanted the laundry room to have a bright colour. I didn’t care what colour it was as my laundry room growing up was unfinished.
