What is your favorite GU/Hammer?PowerGel Flavor?

So far the chocolate outrage and peanut butter are my favorites. I tried a Salted Caramel this morning and it takes like a candy apple with caramel from the fair.

I’ve never had much luck with Power Gel, seems to make me really thirsty. It took me a few months last season to figure out what was going on, since my diet (during training and otherwise) stays very constant. It has a bit of sodium, but not an extreme amount…I wonder if it has something to do with the flavoring.

I have great luck with GU and just about all the flavors are good. Hammer tastes less sweet but I also seem to get less of a “boost” from it. YMMV.

Hammer Espresso. Tastes awesome and has 100mg of caffeine.

Gu Roctane, Cherry-lime or Blueberry-pomegranate are both what I like to go with.

Powerbar double latte or green apple.

The Gu salted caramel is tasty, but I don’t think I’d like it mid run.

Hammer Apple Cinnamon… love that stuff. Tastes like apple pie.

I can’t stand the taste of any of the GUs.

GU Roctaine Chocolate Raspberry and the Strawberry one, just had lemon GU on Saturday and it wasn’t bad either.

The salted caramel is tasty but I took one on the bike this morning and maybe 15 minutes, I was so thirsty.

Favorites: GU - Vanilla, Strawberry banana, PB…Hammer- apple cinnamon
Good enough: GU- triberry, chocolate, mint…Hammer- Montana Huckleberry, raspberry
Don’t like: any of the coffee ones, GU: lemon, cherry lime (odd because I like sour, just not during a race) Hammer-banana
