What happens when some posts just dissapear?

I was reading that silly “mark gingrich haters” thread and was going to relpy, but now the post vanished into thin air. It wasn’t in TLR either. Does dan delete posts that he deems offensive or negative???

I was just about to do the same thing…and poof “You don’t have permission to view that page…”

Geez, all I wanted to do was add a Seifeldian quote about the guy talking about himself in the third person…

“Gammy’s getting upset!”

I was wondering the same thing. Then I thought maybe I was halucinating and it was all in my head. Weird.

That thread had great entertainment value. After looking at Mark’s website I can easily say that he has one of the biggest…

I know, I cannot believe I have my own website. Whoooo, I am some horrible person.

This is simply silly that someone cannot have a website without everyone acting like he or she just took an add out in the latest Inside Tri Magazine or Triathlete Magazine and wrote about how wonderful they were. What is it with all you dummies out there who think a website is some crazy holly grail of success. Like I tried to say before, my son and most of his friends have websites and share things about their life with all their classmates and family.

Tell me if I’m wrong or not, but you knuckleheads sit around here all day long passing judgment on anyone you feel deemed. Everyone seems to have a voice and everyone has to listen. Wrong, not everyone. In case you didn’t know, you don’t have to look at my website…

Yours truly…

i thought i saw him post a while back promising he was not returning here.

had something to do with some misfortune relating to someone apparently nabbing his username and trashing someone.

saw the new one today and had to wonder.

Had to wonder what. I’m interested. Please do tell.

Troll…

Your post from June:

“As for me, this will be my last post and my last trip to this site. I can honestly say that there has been an awful taste left on this side of town.”

Okay, in all fairness I just checked out the website. Not as bad as it sounded here, though remember a race “course” shouldn’t be spelled “coarse”!

You’re right, anyone can have a website and a blog—many folks do. And none of us has to look at it. Not sure how this whole maelstrom started or what it was about…but if it were me, I would have some more serious results before I went on the path that you have with the website, etc. Good for you that you’ve gotten the sponsors you have with the relatively pedestrian finishes.

But it isn’t me, it’s you, and kudos to you if that’s what you want to do.

How do you get sponsors with those results? I wanna know.

Hi, I’m the guy who responded by basically saying you can’t promise people that finishing an IM will change their lives, tell them their destinies, etc. (I’m paraphrasing.) You responded but I didn’t get a chance to read it. I’m curious as to whether you were going to “attack” me, have a friendly debate, or what. Here’s your chance . . . (assuming this doesn’t disappear too.)

Dan’s at a race. He did not delete the thread, he simply hid it. He found it gooey. He will bring it back if there is this much popularity.

Hey douch. I’m glad to know that a pedestrian 2:27 OLY to you is a swift kick in the nuts to a person like myself. I get my ass handed to me on a frequent basis here in the SMW region, one of the largest and most competitive I might say. Glad to know your feats marvel in comparison to Mr. Gingrich. Let me get the number to Fuel Belt for you.

Having read some of the times etc posted in oly tris, I think New Zealand has a waaaaay stronger triathlete base.

Sorry. Let me clarify. USAT we’re talking about.

Hey Martin (aka LarryCalifornia)

The number to Vinu at FuelBelt is 401-289-0724 x 112. Please feel free to comment on my athletic ability.

By the way, did a little poking around myself. I saw your wonderful finish at Ironman CDA (12:54:04), bib #415. Not saying thats a bad time or anything, but you sure are bagging on my quite a bit. I also noticed the 50 or so pages of past postings. Why is it you feel the need to comment on everything…

Have you ever been to a race that was not as fast as the prior due to the course being longer, more hills, windy, hot, or even cold. You should never judge a race by its cover. Every one is different. Not one person broke 2:05 that day.

Anyway, thats it for me.

Rick…Good looking out! I know we go way back and honestly I didn’t see that response coming, Thanks! Your a fast dude and I have to admit, I look for your competition at each race I go to…I’ll be at CATS Half Ironman for a tune-up going into IMmoo…It would be nice to see you there…

sorry to be away, i was attending my regular thursday night give-as-good-as-i-get 3mi with the local high school XC runners.

i don’t interfere too much with y’all’s fun, but i could just see the regulars licking their chops at this. you know as well as i do that you had your weapons cocked and at the ready.

yes, there are those who are well-equipped to suffer the slings and arrows and vicisssitudes of forum boards, and there are the others. this thread was going to be the gong show… one of those train wrecks you want to hide your eyes from but just can’t.

can’t you guys just talk about derailleurs or something?

Can you, like, PM me the thread? I’m sooo out of the loop.

Shit, I need to read this site more often…

Edit: Stupid question removed. I’m a jackass… Reverend!!!

"can’t you guys just talk about derailleurs or something? "

We are waiting on you to put new content on the website. Where is JR when we need him?

“We are waiting on you to put new content on the website”

i’m workin’ on it.
