Odd question I know. She was the olympic butterflyer in 2000, gold medal. I had a dream I was swimming with her, just curious if anyone knows what became of her? Still competing?
What an unfortunate name.

She had long time shoulder problems, and finally had the surgery after Sydney. When she tried to come back after the surgery, she just never got her butterfly speed back.
I thought I heard that she landed an acting gig down in San Fernando Valley.

I have a female friend whose last name is Hyman. I have never once made any jokes about her last name at all!

I worked for a company where one of the senior guys last name was Hyma…not totally the right word…but either way…his nickname was Buster…lots of stories as to why…but it was funny none the less.
In the town I grew up in there was a family with the last name of Seaman. So the dad’s name was Richard Seaman. Everyone called him Dick…
My first job as a teenager was a golf caddy.
I got my golfer for the day and he introduced himself, “The name is Richard Les, call me Dick.”
THis 7th grader lost it. I didnt get much of a tip that day.
