What happen to Diamondback Andean Custom Studio?

I can’t find the link. They don’t sell Andean anymore??

They have three pre-built Andeans listed online, as well as a frameset only option.

The custom studio link now re-directs to the home page, which to me suggests that they’re moving away from the Custom Configurator. A shame, too, as now you have other manufacturers coming online with their versions of it.

I must not be internetting properly, because I still get the 404
.

$4,000 to $7,000 prebuilt. $2,059 for the frameset.

Ahhhh…muchas gracias

Wow I never knew this frameset was so “cheap”.

If I hadn’t just bought a new old bike for roughly that amount I would seriously consider it for my next build.

Of course you can’t actually buy one (not in stock). I emailed Diamondback and they said they’d start to be available sometime in November. This has been an incredibly slow rollout. You would think this bike has been out long enough they should be able to crank these frames out.

That frameset seems like a steal, when/if it ever becomes available. Anyone know if it can take a mechanical front derailleur?

From Patrick’s post I thought the answer was November?

Unless that’s only full bikes and not framesets. Not sure if that even makes sense. I’m personally not a fan of the red. The black version is where it’s at.

Just e-mail them if interested. Got a reply from the sales manager that the 2019 version is on it’s way. but there’s a limited amount of 2018 pre built bikes and framesets coming in soon, but I dont Think they will be available on the website.
Custom studio is shut Down until the 2019 is ready from how I understand it

Not sure they’re ever going to be able to just crank those frames out. I bet they’re a pain to manufacture l

Does that imply there’s going to be a new frame? or possibly just colors?

The price is unreal. 30% cheaper than a P3 yet it’s, imo, a P5-level bike. The next cheapest comparable bikes are the $3400 Omni/Ordu, followed by seemingly everyone else in the $4000-5000 range before the silly-money $7000-8000 bikes like Ventum/P5x/IA/Dimond.

Saw this article about the new stem which is low/long, making the bike suitable for my fit: https://www.slowtwitch.com/Products/Tri_Bikes_2018/The_Andean_s_Long_Awaited_New_Stem_6856.html

I’m particular about my build so only frame sets make sense. It’s hard to argue with the price of the andean, that’s for sure

Dont remember the exact words, but no major frame updates, just a few tweaks and maybe some colours. Unless they make a Kawasaki-green one, I dont see any reason to not just get on the waiting list for the old one. At least, I hope, I have a better chance of Getting the new one faster

It’s a shame, their Pad X/Y estimator was a great tool.
