What do you use on your head during the heat?

So I’m in Texas.

It’s getting warm, and I was on the front of a classic this weekend, sweat rolling down my head, wearing a bandana. Wondering what you guys wear?
Suggestions would be great.
Thanks

I’m in Texas also, and its ridiculous, with the low at about 74 from 5-7 am. By August it’ll be worse though. I ordered a Sweat Gutr ($15.90) off Amazon.

Its a sweat band that acts like a gutter making your sweat roll off your face between your ears and temples rather than on to your sunglasses, in your eyes, and down your nose. Its supposed to arrive today so hopefully it will work.

I use a halo headband under my helmet and a head sweats hat when running.

I wish it was that cool this AM in Dallas. I think it was 82ish this am when I went out this am with 50% humidity! To the question though- I ride with a Halo headband and it works great. I either run with a PI visor or a bandana. The visor is great but it makes my forehead hot so lately i’ve just been going with the bandana. Keeps water out of face and holds water in to semi-cool.

Some times I wonder why the hell I live in Texas. It’s usually on those trips out of state like Utah and Maine recently.

A hat.

I wear a hat.

Jeremy wears a hat.

Richard wears a hat.

James wears a hat.

A hat for running and a Halo bandana/seatband thingy for cycling. You also just get used to dealing with the sweat. At least here in Houston, nothing you do will ever stop it completely.

This works better than any other cap I’ve worn in the heat: http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/PZW457/?sc=CX11L046&cm_mmc=affiliate-_-Carleen%20Coulter%20Publishing-_-Enjoy%20FREE%20Shipping%20On%20Your%20Order%20Today!-_-na&prfc=5

I live in South Carolina. I use the De Soto skin cooler beanie. I have tried headbands, visors and hats. When the heat index gets up into the 90’s the beanie is the only thing I have found that keeps the sweat out of my eyes. I also wear the long sleeve skin cooler to give me some sun protection.

Whatdo I use on my head? A set of clippers.

I love mine. The bill seems to absorb sweat from the band making it very effective at evaporating off lots of sweat.

I’m in TX too. I ran Saturday in 90F and Sunday in 93F. Two weeks ago I picked up an REI running sun visor. I missed it a hell of a lot on Sunday when the salty sting was dripping into my eyes. It was worth every penny. It keeps me from going salty stingy blind.

I live in Mexico half the year (a country that knows heat), this is exactly what me and my buds do down here…

another vote for Halo, in Sydney it’s hot and humid most of the year and the halo is best I’ve found.

Cool. Thanks for all your help guys.
I ended up going with the Halo Sweatcap.
I think that one will work the best.
Seriously. Thanks for all the help.

Socks.

Over the years I have tried everything, bandanas, headbands, do-rags, gutters, the only thing I have found that really works is the SweatHawg, new thing, a helmet liner. Combines ultra-absorbent and ultra-wicking fabrics, and it works! Hallelujah, finally. Money back guarantee to boot. www.sweathawg.com
