What do you think about this "aero trip" skinsuit?

I’m trying to decide between this and the bioracer. obvs just for tts.

thanks!

The Bioracer is the one suit I haven’t tried, but I did test the “closed position” NoPinz against a BP 3.0. The difference was in the 2 watt range. How much of that comes down to minor differences in sizing (medium vs small BP) and the fact that my BP is two years old and more stretched out than when it was new, is unknown.

Trying to generalize this result to the Bioracer would be tricky. I think Jim at ERO said the BP and Bioracers are the two suits that consistently work best for most people, so I would assume the best choice is too individual to come close to generalizing. One way or another the trip suit would probably be an OK choice.

I will say that the service was good and the NoPinz number pocket is a pretty cool idea. No more number gluing for me!

I’d go Nopinz myself. The developers do a lot of aero testing and the feedback seems to be very positive in the UK.

I have a nopinz supersuit… excellent piece of kit.

I’m lusting over the new trip suit. Send Blake an email and pick his brain, he was very helpful when I was deciding between the supersuit and the bioracer suit.

We (AeroCoach) developed this in conjunction with NoPinz. Took ages, and lots of prototype suits - quite early on we made sure that the interaction between rider size/shape/position was taken into account, which is why there are two options based on your aero position and/or size.

We know that suits can be individual, but no other aero suit gives you this kind of option. It means that the correct TripSuit will be as good if not better than other suits, which you previously would have needed to spend time testing to work out. Custom colours for an extra £40 isn’t to be sniffed at either, as well as the integrated pocket.

For those that can make it to an AeroCoach session we have a full custom CFD program where you get 3D scanned on site and put through the computer for a completely personalised TripSuit. That’s a few watts faster again - we offer 3-5 CFD sessions per month (you go through a 2hr solo AeroCoach session and the 3D scan happens at the end).

I have a CFD NoPinz Tripsuit. I’ve tested it. It’s fast. Much faster than I expected it to be.

Disclaimer: I ride for AeroCoach but I’ve paid for all my aero sessions as well as my suit. If I found a faster skinsuit I’d use it.
