What do you do w/race medals, pixs?

That looks like where I keep all mine. Trophies, medals, plaques, cups, t-shirts (when not used as rags) end up in a box on a shelve.

I don’t even attend the awards ceremonies anymore. Thats not why I race. After 19 years of racing, priorities and reasons why I still race have changed.

Finishers medals are on one of 2 nails in the garage. They are getting a bit overloaded at this point, so I think I’ll have to splurge on another nail shortly.

Plaques, trophies, certificates and the like are stacked in various places in the home office.
Whatever is the most recent plaque or trophy will sometimes linger in the kitchen for a bit, before it finds its way up to the office, for its eternal rest.

Trophies and medals, etc. would fit in a display cabinet. Medals are light items and are easy to mount or hang. Here are some ideas to (display medals, trophies and other awards.

Someone here posted that they glue magnets on the back and stick them on the fridge. Been meaning to do that with mine.

It’s a symbiotic relationship between the antlers and the medals…they give each other a reason to be kept

Medals 4 Mettle

That’s awesome. Can’t think of a better use for them

I don’t mean to sound too cool for school but after 20 years of racing triathlons and marathons, I don’t think I’ve keep a single medal or race number more than a month. I hung on to Boston and NYC marathon and my first IM finisher medals for a while and then pitched them. I’ve moved about a dozen times and every time I move they end up in the “not moving” pile. My 2- and 4-year old boys have been wearing a couple of medals from this past season so I’ll keep those until they break a window with them.

Medals, trophies, ah they’re going straight to the Pool Room!

(Aussies probably will be the only ones to get that.)

The mrs once made a montage of various races into an A3 “poster”. Medals live in a draw. I pull them out occasionally and reminisce of moments during the race, last-episode-of-Survivor style, “Ah Busselton, when I had to throw elbows to get past the mum’s running in the finish chute, pass them, and laugh at their despair.” Good times.
