What bottle cage actually holds on to the gatorade endurance bottles handed out on course?

I used these last time but the bottle kept bouncing around in the cage. http://www.onetri.com/profile-design-stryke-kage-p-2542.html.

Anyone have any good, relatively cheap cage suggestions that hang on to the bottle better?

i have heard (but have not personally verified) that the current version of the SBI rib cage pro bottle cage holds them pretty decently.

bontrager x lite is like 12 bucks and works perfect.

Tacx Tao have always worked really well for me - little bit of rattle, but the gatorade bottles stay put

Same here.

This is your best bet: http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1024950_-1_400027_400004_400163

Seriously, they hold the gatorade bottles (and any other) great.

Available in several colors too.

Damn, dude… don’t buy alu cages.

Go with carbon.

All of my cages hold the Gatorade bottles.

I have three types of cages:

  1. Xlab Gorilla (tightest grip)
  2. Profile Design Elite
  3. Blackburn G

I use profile and haven’t lost one yet. They are not carbon(for shame)
and not as pretty as others but they work great and are much cheaper.

the vision tech between the aero bars holder works great!

Specialized rib cage works.

Trek bat cage will also work really well if you use a bit of elastic to tighten it up. This is the method Rappstar used to use for his bottle (I think he’s since moved to zipp for sponsorship reasons).

Not for me. Even though I have Vision aerobars, for which it should be a perfect fit, I was constantly losing bottles from my VT holder. It was worse with those dorky Gatorade bottles they had on course at Kona.

I’ve now changed over to a standard, carbon bidon holder between the bars.

Arundel Mandible…

I use the Bell Brand Carbon Fiber cage that Walmart has. <$20, 28g, sturdy, and work great. Incredible bang for the $$$.

I put a Klean Kanteen cage on my bike for just this reason. They are designed for the long and narrow “Klean Kanteen” bottle. It works perfect on the downtube of my P2C. I use the trek bat cage between the bars because its standard length makes it a little easier to get the bottle out in that spot. It works fine, but there is a bit of wobble. I like the Klean Kanteen cage for the Gatorade bottles and on course water bottles.

Go Gorilla carbon (X-lab)

The nice thing about aluminum cages is that you can bend them in some to make them tighter if need be. That and they costs a lot less and have minimal performance disadvantages.

Victor

Elite Patao 66mm cages. Unlike some of the other options listed here, these are made especially narrow and only work with Elite 66mm bottles and COINCIDENTALLY most narrower “retail” bottles, like bottled water or (and I’ve tested it) the Gatorade endurance bottles.

Bonus: There is nothing more blingy than a 24k gold cage: http://cgi.ebay.com/ELITE-Patao-24k-Gold-Cage-Fassa-Bortolo-Bottle-Kit_W0QQitemZ380138802313QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCycling_Parts_Accessories?hash=item588209cc89&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|293%3A1|294%3A50
