What are your favorite tri glasses and why?

Does everyone use the same glasses for the bike and run? I find the ones I have now force me to tilt my head really far up when I am in aero because the bridge of the glasses runs across the top.

I have the Hypermask Performance Rudy glasses, no issue and really like them. I also have the Ergomax Rudy glasses and no issues as well. Both have a bar across the top, but the hypermask fits pretty close to the face so you don’t see it and the Ergo max is a little taller, so you don’t see it as well.

Smith Pivlock 2……solved the issue for me.

Love my Ryders Via (Photochromic) sunglasses they are very very similar to the Smith Pivlock and about $70 cheaper.

I have and love both the Hypermask and the Smiths. With the Hypermask I remove the little plastic part that goes across the top before races to increase the visibility even more with head down. It just pops off. Snap it back on after the race.

As the other poster said, not necessary with the Smith’s.

Nashbar No-Frame sun glasses work good and are only 10.99$!

Pivlock V2 or v2 max depending on your head/face size. Love them. They are the current version of the V2 and V2max which you can find on different discount outlets for pretty cheap right now.

My fastjackets fit me perfect. Used to slide just a hair but was able to adjust. Had them for 3 years now. The reason I love the most though is they are perscription and I just renew the perscrition and change lenses

Oakley split jacket. Prescription with transition lenses. Run ride day and night. Perfect

rudy project stratofly photocromatic lenses…good for smaller faces
.

Maui Jim stone crushers. Tall you don’t even know they are there.

Tifosi seek, rimless.

Smith PIVlock or the Spy Daft.

Both work great - but I prefer the Smith because it fits my face a hair better.

Smith Pivlock 2……solved the issue for me.

+1

+1 and they won’t bankrupt you!

Visor on helmet on bike for racing

Tifosi Podium or Stelvio for training on the bike

Tifosi Pave for the run but they are really similar to the Stelvios and I use them on the bike sometimes.

Thanks everyone I got the Pivlock V2 and they are perfect. I now have full viability without poking up my head, and the glasses are great for running as well.

Optic Nerve Response (Photochromic lens) - very clear lens, they start off very lightly tinted for those early morning races / rides but darken as the light increases.
The glasses are light but sturdy and are vented so they don’t fog up much.
Best of all they are reasonably prices (~$50).

Nemesis by Jackson Safety Products. No upper frame, cheap enough that you don’t have to worry about them being abused in transition by faster swimmers. No glasses for the run.
