What are the best Rudy Project glasses for triathlon?

I decided on getting a pair of Rudy Project glasses, which pair is the best for triathlon?

I have the Kerosene frames and they work great. Light on the nose and have a great field of vision. But best of all is their replacement (lens/frame) warranty. I have used both this year and now have a new frame and lenses for under $20. They now have my business for a long time to come.

Tayo. I have a pair 3 + years old which I use every day. They work very well and are indestructable.

Another kudos for Ekynox SX…

Rydon! There are special multilaser versions now so they look even cooler. I can really recommend tem.

Frank

I also wear RP Kerosene’s. I’ve been wearing them for 2 years and like them alot. I’ve had zero problems with them. A buddy has the RP Rydon’s and he likes them. Either way, I think you’ll like them. A little pricey but sometimes you can find a decent price for them on e-bay. There is a special offer now where RP is offering a choice of a RP bag for a rather inexpensive price when you spend so much on sunglasses or helmet. Looks like a good incentive to buy now. See Rudy Project North America .

I also have the Rydons, but I like Oakleys glasses better, but I hate Oakleys M-BREAKS (M-frames)… Think I have had three M-frames that have splitted.

Dave

Rydon without a doubt, the best and also the coolest looking!

Amen tridave…my all time fave Oakleys…the razorblade…always broke right in the middle of the brow bridge because of my larger than average head…and the M frames fared no better. The only frames that survive are made of metal (have a pair of A wires that rock for looks but suck for sports)…that is until now. A friend of mine won a pair of RP Ekynox at a tri this year…then won another exact pair the next race (he has since had the horseshoe in his butt surgically removed). He actually gave me the second pair recently citing his inability to wear more than one pair of sunglasses at a time. And they fit awesome. No pressure on my temples which will likely translate to no frame cracking. Someone give me an haleluja. I am forever in debt to both RP and my friend for providing me with a pair of sport specific shades that fit my noodle. Two very large thumbs (got them caught at work tonight) up.

I never had one but once I was aiming to buy a pair. I got to the conclusion that the Kerosene are the ones that look more cool but the Ekynox SX are the best to race (bigger lends, so bigger range of view)

I have to agree with the Kerosene working well for triathlon. It is easy to swap lens for different lighting conditons. They do not fog up. They look good. You won’t be sorry.

I’ve got the Rydons and I really like them. I tried several pairs and I would suggest seeing how they look/feel on your own face before buying. My experience was that the different models were very, very different in the way they fit my face.

Wow, this is kind of a conincidence. I placed our first Rudy Project order with our outside sales rep Kelly O’Brien. I’ll be interested to see how it goes. I’m an Oakley fan, but we have a lot of customers asking for Rudy Project.

We’ll see how it goes. They look cool…

i have both the rydon (blue) and kerosene (charcoal). both fit very well, have a broad range of vision, and have superb lens quality. the lens replacement policy is also a big plus, though i haven’t had to use it yet. i swap between the two based on what i feel like that day. i don’t see one as being substantially better than the other, as they’re both great for training and racing

Another vote for the RP Ekynox. I have the SX version - isn’t that the “for smaller faces” version? Whatever, that’s the one I have. Great for anyone whose face isn’t so wide (i.e. women). They stay put on my nose even when I look down and the fog-free attributes are as advertised. I have a polarized lens for bright light and a yellow lens for clouds and rain. Have used both in races and like both very much.

Ekynox work best for me.

I have a pair of Ekynox and Rydons and find the Ekynox superior for cycling - especially in the TT position as the top of the frame lands above my eyebrows and doesn’t obstruct my vision when I’m forced to look up to see the road. The Rydons are lighter and don’t give me the same claustraphopic feel on the run as the Ekynox do. So in training, I wear the Rydons when running and Ekynox when biking. For triathlons and bricks, I wear the Ekynox. Both are very cool though.
