“long arms, long legs, wide shoulders, short torso, 6’0, wingspan (fingertip to fingertip is 6’4), 33inch inseam”
I’m 5’10 with a 6’3" wingspan and 34-inch inseam… I’m broad-shouldered and have fairly large hands so I figure that adds some to my wingspan, but I was still wondering: compared to the “average” person do I have freakishly long limbs?
Someone, somewhere should have a compilation of averages for adults in all the dimensions you listed, as well as the standard deviations. If you’re within one SD, you’re ‘average’, outside that you’re either long-limbed or short-limbed.
I’m 5’7" and my arm span is almost 6 feet. That’s what allowed me to become a decent point guard and a good at tennis. The only problem was the yearly expense for all those bananas.
I’d say you at leat have long arms. I’m almost 6’2" and I only have a 6’5" wingspan, so If you are within two inches of me you got some big oars. Plus I have a 34.6" Inseam so either i have shorter legs than I shoudl or you are a freak!
I would guess you do, at least in the legs. Still, seems most people have longer arm-span than height. I may be from a similar mould to you, at 6’ height, 34’ inseam and 6’6"+ arms. I’m told my inseam is considered long, or more to the point my torso short (1 less lumbar vertebrae than the norm), so at 5’10" with 34 inseam, I guess you could be some kind wierdo spider-man freak!!!
If anyone knows of some kind of chart with standard measures, like what NextMerckyx mentioned, I’d like to see that too.
