What I cannot believe is that the race has been won on the bike for 2d year in a row.
i wouldnt say it was won on the bike, he didnt have the massivier lead off the bike. He just put together a very very solid complete race, and focusing on his bike time too much hides the fact that he had a brilliant and one of the fastest swim and a very fast run too
The race wasn’t won “from the bike this year” it was won from the front. 3rd out of the water, 2nd off the bike, 1st to the line. Faris is the real deal all the way. Wow.
Indeed. It was an incredibly fast day yesterday at IMH. It was the one-in-ten year where it is/was dead calm on the bike. The bike times of all the top finishers were extraordinarily fast. No wind, means a hot run, so if you can handle the heat, it means REALLY fast times and that is what we got yesterday - 40 Men under 9:00 and then almost 400 in total under 10:00. Wow!! I am sure that there were a huge number of personal bests set. Ironically IMH is also the place where many people also set PW’s - all-time personal worsts, so it really depends on the year and the conditions on the day.
