My aquasphere racer (zips from the top down) wetsuit zipper keeps sticking or is stuck after the swim, I can put it on before or at home to see whats going on but it wont stick… then as soon as i race boom its stuck again?
anyone have this issue?

stuck HOW? when you start to unzip? (from the bottom) or at the top when you want it to come apart? i hope you are remembering in the heat of battle to undo the velcro at the top of the suit…
I even had a dude help me… and he said quote " its stuck at the top, I cant get it" then it finally came down, cost me easy 30 seconds, so frustrating…
it zips the opposite from what i was thinking… when you want to unzip you pull it down right?
i have heard using some bar soap on the zipper teeth help lube a little.
i’d be looking at those first couple of teeth for one that is out of line. take it to a tailor place and have them look at it. friend of mine had his zipper fixed for $7 when he ripped the head zipper thingy off.
the stupid thing is it doesnt stick when i try it on to see, and it didnt stick after my warmup… but always after the swim/race…
As some one else said, tri rubbing a bar of soap or some candle wax on the teeth of the zipper.
Make sure that when you are pulling on the zipper that you are pulling it straight, in line with the zipper - if you are pulling with an angle, this will cause some problems
Also check the quality of the zipper. Not familier with this particular suit at all. My apologies for the pitch, but I know with Nineteen we use the top quality YKK zippers throughout our line - even on our less expensive suits. This is an area of high stress and strain on a wetsuit that get’s a lot of use and abuse - not an area of the suit to go cheap on.
Thanks for the help guys, I will check the zipper, and I do grab the cuff to “line-up” the zipper but it still sticks… I dunno, maybe a new suit is in my future…
