Hi! On my new 2XU V3 wetsuit the velcro parts of the closing mechanism on the back do no align properly. This leaves a rather large part of the velcro uncovered when closed. Is this normal, and supposed to be this way? Or could this be a manufacturing error?
You need to close the outer panel that has V:3 written on it accross to the right so that it covers the velco on the inner panel. There is a bulge of loose material on the outer panel that shouldn’t be there if you pull the panel to the right. I have a 2XU suit with the outer panel closed properly:

If I pull the outer panel over to the right so that it covers the velcro on the inner panel, it will pull the zipper slider with it. The slider will no longer be lying flat on the back, but is pulled to an upright position, creating an even larger bulge (and pressure on my back). It’s really tight back there, it seems as if the outer panel is shorter than it is supposed to be.
Yes I can see now from your photo that the outer panel on your suit is smaller than mine. I wouldn’t worry too much if some of the velcro on the inner panel is exposed. I would just pull the outer panel across firmly so it lays flat, don’t worry if some of the inner velcro is exposed.
My suit is a V:2 and it looks to me like they made the outer panel smaller on the V:3 without reducing the size of the velcro on the inner panel.
