Wetsuit torn... HELP!

I have an Xterra Vector Pro 2.

Wore it for the first time yesterday… it’s freaking awesome!

However, I tore it at the knee while putting it on.

I called Xterra and they’re sending me a tube of wetsuit glue (very cool), but it seems like the integrity is compromised… like this may happen repeatedly.

Anyone with similar experience? Advice?

PS: I’m a long time surfer with many years of wearing wetsuits and cutting nails prior to using wetsuits.

I did that between the knee and ankle. But the WS was 4yrs old at the time. I was lazy and just pulled my leg through it and rip. I had a race in 2 days…duck tape worked fine. I did get a new WS just after the race.

Since it’s new and a bad spot you might want a “pro” to do the repair.

Tip, try using socks when you’re putting on your WS.

Good luck

I almost forgot.

There is no way my tri WS would take the abuse I give my surfing WS.

I want to say De Soto Sports will fix them, even non- Desoto ones, im not entirely sure on that. It may cost a little bit but probably be better in the long run.

I had a small hole in the back of my wetsuit right on a seam.

Couldn’t find anyone local to do the repair. Contacted DeSoto, and they
did the repair and got it back to me. Very reasonable. No, it
wasn’t one of their wetsuits.

Email was answered promptly. One phone call to provided credit
card info and it was done.
