Wetsuit fit (7)

My prospective Sailfish suit (small/long) is a good fit when standing on land but it impedes my breathing. From your experience, is this a given sign to size up regardless or could the fit in water be just perfect? No issues with breathing in medium/long but fit is too wide.

And yes, I have read https://www.slowtwitch.com/Products/Wetsuit_by_brand/Sailfish/How_I_Chose_My_sailfish_Wetsuit_8289.html

Personal preference – if any issues at all w/ anxiety, either pick another brand or size up. Dealing w/ the real or perceived issue of impeded breath highly unlikely to be worth it IMO unless trying to shave off every second on the swim.

I find the wetsuits with higher necks affect me more. Anything touching my wind pipe / Adams apple is miserable and I feel like gagging. Which isn’t great for smooth relaxed swimming! This is one reason I settled on Orca suits, in the the neck is low.
