Wetsuit Damage

I bought a Nineteen wetsuit 3.5 years ago and have worn it about 15 times. After my last race I noticed that the seam is splitting on the rear part of each shoulder where the rubber meets the more flexible fabric part. Right now, the hole is about one inch long on both sides. Does anyone have advice on how to fix this damage? I have a tube of wetsuit repair goo, but can I use that on the seams between the fabric and the rubber? Thank you.

This stuff works pretty well for repairing that exact type of damage.

The product referenced below, Aquaseal, is best used when the damage is more significant ) i.e. a large tear through to the jersey fabric under the neoprene or a complete hole you can put your finder through. If the damage is small enough it is best to start with McNett Seal Cement (same manufacturer as Aquaseal) as you will end up with a neater and more flexible repair.

If you want more advice on doing the repair please email me a photo. If you prefer to have a professional do just let me know where you live and where you bought the suit and I’ll help you out.

Thanks for buying a Nineteen!

Dan,
Thanks for your reply. I sent you an email with some pictures of the damage if you could give me more advice.
