So I recently had the opportunity to try on the new Zoot wikiwiki wetsuit. All wetsuits I try on, I compare to the freedom of movement I get in my desoto…
So first, will say, this suit is -REALLY- stretchy, very free movement and probably the first one piece wetsuit I’ve ever tried on that felt like no restriction in the chest or neck, even when just trying on dry, not getting in the water. Much more comfy fit than the huub and roka wetsuits I’ve tried on. I was borderline between medium and large on their chart, and the medium was very comfortable.
But…the arms up cut/design is very noticeable. It seems to want your arms to be in that forward position. The problem I had with this was that when trying to simulate a swim stroke, during what I believe would be referred to as the ‘late pull’ (forearm passing the mid torso) there was noticeable resistance wanting to pull my arm back forward. If it were at the end of the stroke, maybe wouldn’t be so bad, but felt too early and thus tiring on my shoulder. Anyone else notice this?
I have raced in my Roka x several 70.3 'S and one 140.6. Faster in the x compared to my Roka maverick. Find my shoulders do not get tired at all and my pull is the same. Worth every cent.
Thanks. Unfortunately I went threw the exercise of trying to get the new Roka suit in Canada. By the time you do exchange, shipping, taxes and duty (its considered a clothing item by canada customs), it is about $1600. No thanks…

Hey SBRcoffee,
We do have our new international shopping experience at global.roka.com, but the price does go up quite a bit when the currency changes and we have no control over the customs fees in Canada. Shopping at our new international website does allow us to offer free returns and exchanges to our international customers, so if you did want to try out one of our wetsuits that would be the place to get it.
We would also like to point out that we have been able to diffuse the ARMS UP design down from the Maverick X to the second generation Maverick Pro II and Maverick Elite II wetsuits to try and create the least restriction possible in the shoulders and chest.
The Maverick Pro II uses the same Yamamoto #39 and #40 neoprene that the Maverick X uses, but with a slightly different pattern. The Pro II will also help to enhance your body rotation with our 5mm aerodome centerline buoyancy panel and RS2 panels. While this suit isn’t able to provide quite as much support as the Maverick X, it is our most flexible wetsuit overall.
Thanks, I did try the new site. Pic attached, still results in same insane price. Not knocking your product or service at all, but $1672 is kind of in the realm of ridiculous…
You need a Canadian distributor!
I did actually notice that there were a few of your suits in the Ironman tent at the tremblant 70.3 a couple weeks ago, but not a full selection.

Yeah that’s definitely a drawback of our current distributor network, but we are working on it!
Ironman will have our wetsuits (and other swim products) at their North American expos, but the wetsuits they bring are from their inventory so we don’t know for sure what they’re bringing.
Hey Sbr, I recently bought one through the us site, and used the 20% discount code, and bought the mav comp for $240 US shipped. The arms up isn’t needed, the comp has everything and is amazing.
