No, not my youtube video, I just got sick. I never know what kind of workout to do when sick: less distance, less intesity.
What do others do?
Fever? Nothing for me, if no fever, then I’ll wing it, sticking as close as I can to my plan. But I’ll skip a day or cut way back without feeling guilty either, especially if I get sick during a down week.
I caught a cold that really kicked in yesterday morning. I just took two days off training. I think I’m good to go back to it tomorrow. I think it’s best to just take a rest and not drag it out for days. I tried to get as much rest as possible and get better before going back to it. Besides, in my case I could probably use a couple days of rest anyhow.

I like to get my core temp as high as possible… means get on the trainer, no fans, no ventilation, lights on, computer on (ambient heat) and cook the sickness!
Just make sure you only cook the beasties and not your brain.
I usually do whatever I have the energy to do.
im currently sick, on wed. i called in sick and slept 15 hours! i did a pathetic 8 mile ride on thurs and this morning i thought i was feeling a bit better and ran 4 miles which felt wayyyyy harder than it should have. now im feeling like complete crap again. i should have rested a bit more!

Run or bike enough to get warmed up. Then stretch out for as long as I can stand. The sitting still while sick seems to hang with me longer than the actually cold, cough, etc.
How about drugs? The sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever, so you can swim/bike/run medicine.

Had a virus for the better part of 10 days over christmas, one day I would feel like i got hit by a train with a fever of 101-102, the next I would feel better but still lousy until noon and then the fever came back with a vengence…needless to say there was no exercise in my daily plan. Right now I still have a hacking cough but have managed to get back on plan, i am drinking a lot and that seems to help.
