Wed Night TT in No Ca

For anybody in Northern CA, we have an every other week time trial put on in Davis, CA. Next one will be tomorrow, May 9th. Time trial starts at 6pm. It’s a great fitness test for people during their training season. Anybody is welcome, there is no fee. A huge range of abilities come out. so do not be intimidated. About 60% of the participants are triathletes, 40% roadies. Doesn’t matter what your inclination is. The course is dead pan flat (although often windy), 5 miles out, 180 degree turnaround, and 5 miles back. The turnaround is marked and there is someone there flagging riders to turn. Nothing as sophiticated as timing chips or anything, but in all the years doing this we have yet to really screw up somebody’s time. Results are posted at http://madcowsracing.org/training/07ttresults.php. You can see old results there as well. If you have questions either shoot me an e-mail (jsantos@daviswheelworks.com) or call 530-753-3118.

How late into the year will this run?

We typically run them until mid September, when we start running out of light. If there is enough interest, we can do them during the winter on a weekend morning instead.

This is a great low key TT. I have done it several times and enjoyed it. Everyone is very nice and happy to be out riding.

The winds can be interesting some days and be non-existent on others.

And daviswheelworks is a fantastic bike shop. They carry most of the high end stuff, so stop by in you are in the area.

Dave

One hell of a way to watch your progress throughout the year. Joe and the Wheelworks crew are fantastic so come out and join in the fun.

I can try and make it out during the summer. Now I have school, so I can’t but in june i should be out there… Thanks for the heads up
