Waterproof ipod? Audioflood vs underwater audio vs X1

Gonna need to do some water running in upcoming months to rehab ankle & foot. Looking @ a waterproof ipod shuffle. Prefer to keep the cost down. All seem overpriced.

It seems there are 3 bundles all which include the shuffle. 2 use the waterproofed ipod concept & have a 2 yr warranty (there is a 3rd company waterfi but eliminated that one seem more expensive for same thing) & then the X1 that uses a case.
Appears there are older offering that use different headphones that aren’t a good or easy t owork with.

Curious if anyone can offer input on one over the other or the best current one.

Thanks

Barb

I’ve had a WaterFi unit for 2+ years now with no issues. I would go there or audioflood before anything else.

Don’t even think about the X1 case. Not worth the hassle. The waterproofed units are infinitely better and worry-free (no leakage concerns, etc)

x2 on the WaterFi. coming up on three years with mine, swim with it all the time, I’ve killed the original earbuds, broken wire, but they’re cheap to replace.

super happy with my underwater audio unit.

If I didn’t already have one, I would definitely have preferred to not have the big bulky case
.

x3 on the waterfi. Just make sure you get good headphones. I use TYR molded earplugs on waterproof headphones. Works great and stays in ear w/o leaks.

Audioflood ! Been using one for almost the last two years, excellant.

I agree with stay away from cases = X-1. I had two and the headphones broke fairly quickly and then you are out of luck. In my case they didn’t stand behind the warranty either time.
