Water Bottles (2)

Is there a place/internet site to get some inexpensive water bottles? Looking for 24oz (or is it 26oz?) Specialized bottles, they seem to work the best and are usually inexpensive, and they can be branded or un-branded. I usually get them from cranksports for about $5 a bottle. Happy New Year.

They are great bottles. I get mine from TriSports.com. You can use the SLOWTWITCH coupon code to get 15% off.

You want the 24oz. size.

Last year I bought some 32 oz bottles @ walmart for $1 each. Great deal, and these work great for training because you can take more total fluid.

Shawn,
Try 7-11 they have some sweet 40oz. Old English bottles that I used on our Thanksgiving Day ride!!

I have some Zefal one liter bottles that I got from performance. I think they were $4. You have to REALLY tighten the lid down, or they leak.

That’s how you roll…OC style!

I just threw mine away. I got too tire of cleaning cytomax off my bike from the !$#!% thing leaking. What a piece of crap.

4 for $12 for the Specialized bottles. Cheaper than Zefal, and they actually work.

They are, however, slightly more expensive than OE 40oz. bottles. But the OE bottles do not come with an EZ drink top… Points for style, though, for sure. I personally would select Crazy Horse or Schlitz, just to keep it EXTRA real.

They are a little cheaper here… $2.50/bottle

The best tip I’ve ever heard is to volunteer at a half or full Ironman distance race, and offer to be the guy picking up bottles at one of the bike aid stations. Instead of 4 for $12, you’d be looking at all you can carry for free! And they’ll probably throw in a t-shirt to boot!

Order 200 from me, you can even put your name on them and they’ll be cheap and you’ll have enough for life:) Just think how cool it would be to have “Property of Shawn” or “This bottle was stolen from ShawnF” on all your bottles!

I just really tighten the holy hell out of them. But for carrying a lot of water on a long ride in the mountains they’re better than anything else that I’ve found.

They leaked all over all of my food the first time. Now I check them well before I leave the kitchen, or when I refill them.

I’m not a big fan of camelbaks on my bike, even though I have two and use them. They bother my shoulder and neck. Bad posture???

By the way. For the gym and pool, where I’m leary of losing my bike bottles, I use old cleaned out bottled water bottles or Propel bottles. I have been recycling my daughter’s old Propel bottle for 6 months. It has a nice wide mouth, so Drink powder and ice go in easily.

Try these California Springs bottles. Just as good and less $$$$
