Warmest wetsuit recommendations

Any recommendations for the warmest wetsuit for a person who gets cold easy in the water? I don’t care about cost.
I’m doing 70.3 Santa Cruz and I’m concerned about being cold during the swim with expected water temps around 58-65 degrees.
Recommendations on Wetsuit?

Thank you in advance slowtwitch community!

I’m the same - I use the Roka Thermal, but would love to know if there’s something legal that is even warmer.

The roka or b70 thermal suits are the best options.

Add booties, and a cap “sandwich” (swim cap covered by a neoprene swim cap covered by your race swimcap) and earplugs.

The water in SC isn’t too cold, and there is a long (800m) run into T1 to warm up ahead of the bike.

I remember Blu did a youtube video with his and it has an internal chest warming layer

Can remember the brand

not answering your question as I dont know but just offering my 2c

65 degrees you will be fine with a normal wettie. 58 may be a bit colder but imo once you get going and wee into your suit you will be fine. those who say they dont pee in their wetsuits are those who say they dont pee in the pool. i doubt it will be 58 the whole way. good luck.

Patagonia. With wool inside.

Not great for swimming, admittedly, but damn it’s warm for surfing…

Hello,

You should try the gold from us (Aquaman).
There is no jersey in the inside of the wetsuit. Instead there is the same kind of neopren that people that do spearfishing use.
People that do spearfishing usually stay a couple of hour in the water so they want something that keep you warm. The good thing about this kind of neopren is that there is almost no water coming in the wetsuit.

I would also recommend that you use a neopren hood.

I can help you in private message if you want more info.

Best regards

Alex

Having done santa cruz 70.3 many times, you do not need a warmer wetsuit. Booties help quite a bit in the water and run to transition( quite a long way). Ear plugs make a big difference. Get your face in the water beforehand as your face/head will get the biggest shock. I didnt wear neoprene cap but doubled swim cap which was fine. But would think a neoprene cap would make you feel warmer than adjustments to the wetsuit

I don’t pee in the pool, but I sure do in the wettie.

I swim in a lake that from that from, Nov-Feb is high to mid 50’s. I don’t use any special wetsuit, BUT a neoprene/thermal swim cap makes a massive difference in how cold I get/feel in the water. I’m not a big fan of booties, but they also make a big difference. So I would suggest just investing in those 2 items and use whatever wetsuit you’re comfortable in.

I concur. A good neoprene cap makes a huge difference.
