I believe shimano bar end shifters can be set for either friction or index shifting

I’m building a townie type coffee shop bike for my wife.

For Shimano: If you have standard DT shifters, they will bolt on to any of the bar-end bosses. I’m running an 8sp index Tiagra shifter on a 9sp Dura-Ace bar-end boss.
So, if you have the 7sp DT shifters, buy any Shimano bar-end shifters, and just swap out the rear shifter.

Alternatively, I know the 9sp barends have a friction setting. I’m running those on another bike with Kelly take-offs.

Otherwise I have some 6sp index DT shifters but no 7sp, sorry… I’m still using those :wink:
