The 14th edition of Norseman Xtreme Triathlon will be held on August 6th. 2016.
At this point we do not have the details for enrollment and quotas for the 2016 race. But it is to be expected that it will be similar to the setup that we had for the 2015 race. You can find the 2015 information here.
We are a small volunteer organization. Our focus is now on the 2014 race. Please follow us here on web and on www.facebook.com/nxtri. More news on the 2015 race in September.
Here are some common questions that we get:
Q: When is Isklar Norseman 2016?
A: August 6th
Q: When can I enroll for the lottery.
A: We will open for enrollment late October.
Q: What does it take to participate?
A: Please read our Race Manual, our Race Day Info and our Support team info This will give you a good picture of our event.
Q: How is the Elite selection done?
A: Elite selection: 15 men and 5 women
Allocated by a jury, based on merits. Minimum requirement to apply for an elite slot is 9 hours 15 minutes or faster for men and 10 hours 30 minutes or faster for women in an ironman distance race. Only results from 2013, 2014 or 2015 are valid. Top Norseman, Celtman and Swissman finishers are of course eligible to apply.
Oh yea, per the website, 2015 is 15 male and 5 female.
