Walking Treadmill

I’m looking to add a treadmill to my home office set up in the quest to stop being fat and lazy. Has anyone done this, and if so do you have recommendations?

I live in a wood framed condo, so a proper running treadmill is never going g to be okay. I’m looking for something quiet that will fit under my standing desk that won’t break the bank. Any suggestions?

If anyone records me falling off during a video call I promise to share the footage!

I added one a few months ago and use it regularly. It’s this one from Amazon: Sunny Health & Fitness Slim Walking Pad Treadmill — https://a.co/d/hoZgx20 (sorry about the lack of hyperlink…on mobile and it’s not playing nice).

It’s done well for me thus far, as long as I set the speed low (~1.7-2mph). Too high and it’s distracting to getting work done, and even slow I sometimes need to move it out of the way and take a seat to concentrate more intently, usually when I’m writing. I walk on it during internal calls without regard for if it bothers colleagues, but don’t during client calls. It hasn’t done a damn thing to help with weight, but has made a marked difference in how my low back, hamstrings, and overall body “tightness” feels compared to just standing in place or sitting on a stool, so I’d recommend it. For some reason it’s not as comfortable to just stand on as it is to walk on. Easy to move out of the way when necessary, not great to store if you want it out of the room — not a problem for me since my home office door closes and it’s not visible when others are over, but it is something to consider. It does make some noise, but should be reasonable in your place if you put it on a yoga mat or something similar.

There was another one I started out on from Amazon and it wasn’t as robust, so it went back. That one was from Citysports, gets good reviews, came recommended, was ~20% cheaper than the Sunny one when I bought it, but it just didn’t cut it.

Thank you! The Citysport one is the one I’ve been looking at, I’m glad to have feedback on it.
