I’m racing sunday so can’t say that I’m thrilled about volunterring - i really need this time to sit around and be nervous or buying stuff in the the tents

With all the revenue WTC and IMNA reap from this event, they ought not to need volunteers. Most profit making business’ don’t expect employees to work for free.
If I get into LP early enough on Friday I can help with registration once I pick up my packet.
That thought has crossed my mind many a time. The other thing with volunteering is you still have to get yourself a room etc. I considered volunteering for IMWI and then checked room prices and b/w that and driving up there I’m less enthusiastic.
Still I hope they get more help so they have a great race.

I e-mailed Wanda this morning and almost immediately got back a response saying they are short by about 15 people for all registration shifts Thursday and Friday. I did the race last year and thought it went amazingly smoothly from beginning to end, so I’m heading down to help out Thursday, and maybe Friday as well. See all you all '05 participants at the special needs bag table (I think that’s where I’ll be).
