Anybody else take this stuff and forced to take the high dose amount?
B12 seems to have a good impact on me… reducing mental fatigue. But I have a lot of fear taking something that is 12,000% the recommended value. The stuff I am taking is absorbed entirely under the tongue so no loss in the gut. A little concerned for the kidneys though and would prefer a fraction of the dose… But that doesn’t seem to be out there at least for the tongue absorption type.
Another option is liquid B12. It, too, can mostly be absorbed in your mouth and not your gut. It gives you a little more control over the dosage. But, those mega doses seem pretty standard with supplemental B12.
You get rid of what you don’t need with B12 and other water soluble vitamins, so unless you actually have a deficiency, then it is pretty much a waste of money.
Hey, if you think it works, go for it. B12 hasn’t been shown to be terribly unsafe, unlike B6, which can cause nerve damage at higher doses.
