VT Carbon Pro bars come in four lengths 250mm, 260mm, 270mm and 290mm. Does this mean that these bars are not adjustable on the length? If so, that means I have to pretty much be spot on with the length I need. I’m between a 270 and a 290.
Anyone have experience with these bars or some advice in general on sizing?

I use VT aerobars. Mine seemed a bit long after a bike fit but I was advised to wait to cut them off.
You can cut them later if that works better but you cannot make them longer.
You can ride them choked up to start.
I found after a few rides that I liked to stretch out some as I got tired.
So I grew into them and did not end up cutting them.

Mine are a bit long as well.
I’ve got the VT base bar with R-Bend clip ons.
They can be viewed if you look under the "Litespeed Mafia " thread.
Anyway ,initially I felt it was a task to reach to change gears, but I’ve gotten used to them.
My LBS has advised against cutting them .
are you looking for the traditional “J” bend extensions, or the “R” bend (aka S bend) type? i’m looking for extensions right now and in my search i’m told the J bends come in sizes, and the R bend is one length only (with ample room to cut). this said, yes your statement is correct, the mounting point is recessed into the bar therefore non-adjustable in length. getting a 290 seems a no-brainer in your situ.
