Vision Team 30 - 9 speed compatible?

Looking to replace (finally) my 13-year old Ritchey DS Pro wheels, and looking seriously at the Vision Team 30. Most specs call these out as only 10/11 speed compatible, but I am running 9 speed and wondering if it is just a matter of having the right spacer(s) to have these work with 9-speed? If so, what spacer(s) would I need?

Yes, it should work.
9 speed cassettes are a little wider than 10 speed cassettes, so the spacer will actually be thinner than running a 10speed cassette on an 11 free hub body.

A quick search reveals others have had success (i.e. 9spd cassette on 11spd FHB) using a standard 1.8mm cassette spacer.

I’m running 9 speed Shimano on my Vision Team 30 wheelset. Can’t remember exactly what I had to do, but it wasn’t complicated.

In fact here you go mate.

Note item 4. on the diagram is the 9/10 speed adaptor ring. This brings the hub width down to 9 speed compatibility and then I guess if you were fitting 10 speed you’d need the extra spacer. I think I just chucked it on without giving it very much thought and the lockring tightened down no probs.

Sweet, you guys rock! Thank you both.

This article and chart are super helpful for what spacer/cassette combo is needed for what type hub.
