There are a few things I don’t quite get about your race report. If you’ve done this race 9 times in a row, not to mention the other triathlons you’ve done in your life, why are there so many rookie mistakes? I don’t see how you can not have your nutrition down by now or how you can forget to lube your socks or have electrolytes, etc. It just seems like a bunch of BS excuses.
Also, while your personal computer times are interesting, the only clock that matters is the official race clock. Hell, I could sprint 18.7 miles stop for 40 minutes and recover and repeat until I finished it doesn’t make my time faster if I only include the riding time. If the official clock had you at 3:18, I’m sorry but that just doesn’t count as a PR if your previous best was 3:12.
