Not at all, folks have this virus in them their whole lives and it never becomes a thing and it just remains dormant. But if it pops up, it is likely going to be for a long time, I knew one guy that had it active for over 25 years. Remember the famous case Cher had for 6 years. I dont believe it typically gives you a bad day here and there and then just disappears, at least not in us athletes.
Usually we have some red line crossing and the virus asserts itself from dormancy. And then as we are, we try to train through it giving it a much longer life and existence in us than it otherwise would have had if we had just rested. Perhaps there are drugs now(I dont believe any real effective ones) but just plain complete rest is how you get your body to push it back into complete dormancy. And yes, depression comes along with it as most things that upend your life and you feel shitty all the time.
I had a bout of Epstein Barr/ Mono/ chronic fatigue syndrome. Whatever you want to call it. If anybody is going through a tough time that sounds similar Iād read the book Reverse Therapy by John Eaton. That is what led me on the path to full recovery.
EB virus would show up on a blood test though would it not? Made it seem like they have been doing a fair amount of bloodwork with no explanation of what is wrong. Unless he is producing no antibodies which is a bigger issueā¦
Looks like heās back to normal training again which is good! Maybe no Nice this year? He says he hopes to be fit for Roth but I think he still needs to qualify/validate for Nice, correct?
CDA of .1914 pretty slippery!
Why did they wrap him in plastic in the tunnel? is it just to keep warm?
WouldnĀ“t look very good on that test center and the people there, actully giving him those numbers in the video. But agree indeed that CDA seems way offā¦
