I don’t remember any specific places except that with my given per diem I was getting killed and I had to settle for a burrito once or twice just so I could afford to get home.
The food was excellent tho - unbelievable so.
BTW, I’m pretty sure even the buffets were more than my per diems.
Yeah, should clarify my per diem excludes me from any of the top stuff, Guy Savoy, Robuchoun, etc…
Saw some good things about Sage @ Aria and should be able to swing that.
Was there for a conference a couple of weeks ago, staying at the encore. We asked the concierge what the best buffet was and they said caesars (recently redone) then bellagio then wynn. So we went to caesars and it was good although I ate too much and felt pretty bad afterwards - don’t do that.
Otherwise you’re really just limited by whatever your budget is. Had a great steak at the SW (wynn) but was glad I wasn’t paying…
I’m not much of a buffet person but the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan was worth it. Pro-tip: there was a long line when I went in the evening which was 45 min to an hour long. If you go to the front desk you can prepay for the buffet and go directly to the front of the line.
Ate at the top of the world restaurant a few months ago. I was extremely disappointed, but I did choose the vegetarian dish because I wanted to try quinoa. It looked like they had some good meat and pasta dishes, but the prices are ridiculous.
Off the strip, but some of the best thai food anywhere is Lotus of Siam. Be careful because when they say “hot” they really mean it, none of this saving you from yourself bs like most places. Food is moderately priced, 10 minute cab ride from the strip.
The Grand Lux in The Venetian. The menu is endless. It is rare when a place can pull off about 10 different cuisines and do it well. Not pricey but really good. We go there every time we are in town.
Vegas has become the new mecca for chefs. A lot of the “signature” restaurants are over priced. Lotus of Siam as previously mentioned is a gem among a lot of cubic zirconium. The Vegas Buffet has gone the way of the swiss steak, no longer a good deal even for what it is.
All of the previous poster’s have completely missed the ball. You just need to find the 24/7 Krispy Kreme shop (I think in the upper decks of the paths between Excalibur and whatever’s next door). I’ll say it again,…24/7 Krispy Kreme.

+1 for Lotus of Siam, it looks like a so-so place in a strip mall but they turn out the best Thai food in the West. I have traveled all over the country for business and have yet to have as good of a Thai meal as I have had every time I go to LOS.

Or, any of the multitude of Walgreens where you can buy packaged sandwiches, Redbull and boxes of Twinkies! lol
As a serious contribution to the thread - Samba, a Brazilian meathouse in the Mirage, I think, is fun. If you find yourself in the Venetian, on the Shoppes level, the Towers Deli makes a wicked Rueben sandwich… mmm…
