Picked up a cheap Conti Giro tubular as a spare and went to install the valve extender that I ordered with my new wheel from TriSports.com. Do I have to get a specific Valve Extender specifically for Conti tires?
Also, looks like the extender I got requires a removable valve core. How do I know if the Giro has a removable valve core?
Are the threads different on each Tubular manufacturer’s valves?

The valve will be 2 colours, brass and silver. On the silver part, closest to the valve nut, there will be a small flat section for a wrench to remove the core.

I bought four of Trisport’s deluxe valve extenders last month.
the different sizes are more related to how deep of a rim you’re using that the size of the tire valve. Thery are 100% better than teh hollow tube valve extenders Spinergy was hawking for their rev-x wheels.
Don’t forget th telfopn tape jsut to make sure you get a good seals
The Giro presta Valve is all brass and about an inch long. Doesn’t look like it will come out. The threads on the valve extender won’t thread onto the presta valve (Different size threads).
Maybe the whole brass valve will unthread from the tire?
Kind of stumped on this one. Don’t want to ruin a new tubie experimenting with the valve. Maybe I should just take it back and buy a better tubular???
