Gonna be a chilly start tomorrow! Low of 34 tonight, with a high of 49. Trying to figure out the clothing. Hanging out at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria and about to go to packet pick up.
So, who else will be running tomorrow?

Well, thankfully the race isn’t today. We’ve got a layer of slush on the ground at Dulles Airport. I think the temps will be fine, the bigger issue will be the wind. If the wind can die down to <10 mph by Sunday morning then I think you guys are good to go. Just bring a layer of throw away clothes.
Good luck. I’m running MCM for the 4th time. Temps look good for the race. It wi be chilly at the start but should feel fine once we get running at full speed. The U.S. Marines put on a first class race!
running tomorrow too…it’s gonna be a cold start!
Did the packet pick yesterday. Security having to wand everyone-really?
I’m not sure what to wear tomorrow. Winds supposed to be 10 mph+ so likely wear tights and a nylon shell. Hopefully this rain/snow pulls out on schedule.
Good luck to all-Semper Fi
Yep…in a total quandry…tights or shorts? Supposed to be sunny and get up to 49…pretty warm for tights. Not looking forward to hanging around for an hour in the morning waiting for the race to start.
Was really surprised by the wanding. What made it even more ludicrous is that I had a camera in my jacket pocket that I had forgotten about…wand goes nuts, I immediately apologize and say its a camera, and the security lady waves me away without even checking to make it was what I said it was.

I ran the NYC marathon back in 1995 and it was the exact temps. and tomorrow’s MCM, 34 low and 49 high with a lot of wind from the southwest.
I raced in a short-sleeved t-shirt under my singlet and shorts. I also wore gloves and one of those headbands that covered my ears. I went to the start area with an old pair of sweats (top and bottom) and discarded them just before the gun.
Just try to stay warm before the start and keep your ears and hands warm during the run. Your arms and legs should be fine as long as you’re moving well.
Have a great day.
