Usat rankings system

Does anyone else have an issue with the way in which USAT determines
rankings. As I understand it all races are counted toward your overall
percentage. So anyone that races every weekend is likely to have at least one poor race. If USAT is attempting to grow why punish those
that race a lot. Shouldn’t your best three races average to give your score? I looked at my rankings and found numerous racers ranked
higher that I beat in head to head events. These racers did the minimum races compared to my eight events.

I’m still missing three races from my ranking. I’ve emailed them twice and haven’t heard anything from them. You make a good point, though.

I think they do count your top three results. I checked my standings for 2008. I did seven “USAT” races, and my “score” was the average of my top three results.

The way I understand it is that you can do as many races as you want, But you must do at least 3 and they only count your best 3 if you do more than that.

It is your top three, rank wise, performances that determine your year end ranking, and should be noted as your current ranking score.

I can’t get the results to show up. I enter an AG and gender into this page http://www.usatrankings.com/Pages/MemberPages/RankingQuery.aspx and it says that no results match the criteria. Any assistance? Thanks

Try “Previous Year.”

It also has to be in the same distance. To get an official ranking I had to bring it to their attention that I had competed under one day license to meet their requirement. They responded promptly and added the races within a week. Unfortunately they had to use an early season bad performance race to rank me at the oly distance

It also has to be in the same distance.

I don’t think so…I had 6 USAT races last year, 3 sprints, 1 oly, and two half irons…Last time I checked, my ranking score was based off the two half irons and the olympic which were my 3 best races, rank wise.

I stand corrected. They added one of my 2 Sprints and dropped my bad oly from my scoring
