oly and sprint nationals. where were they staged in recent years? cleveland obviously. milwaukee. burlington, VT. where else?

Tuscaloosa, AL hosted for a number of years. Omaha, NE before Cleveland, I think. Portland (really outside Portland at Hagg Lake) had it in 2008ish. I did it once in Shreveport, LA, which was one of the dirtiest swims I’ve even been in. IMO, Milwaukee and Burlington were my favorite venues.

i was at shreveport. yeah. that’s all i’m going to say. so, recent years, say, this decade, cleveland, omaha, milwaukee, burlington?

I’m not sure there is a better solution, but the mid-Summer timing of this race is a huge turn-off. Between the IM alternatives, local races, and family vacations, this just isn’t enough of a priority.

Selfishly, we would all prefer the race to be near us, but objectively, MKE is a decent location
