USAT Financials

Just checked them out quickly last night, and I must say they are pretty strong.

One question.

They’ve had huge ‘profits’ (they call it change in net assets but income minus expenses are profits in my book) lately - ~$500K in 2003 and ~600K in 2001 (smaller profits in 2002 and 2000).

Should a Federation be making these profits or should they be providing more services for their members?

This is one of the points of contention with USAT/the current board. They have been building quite a war chest/rainy day fund, while raising 1-day fees, etc. Very little information about what the $ is for has been offered, and many people have questioned the rational behind it.
