Usa cycling coach level 3 exam

hey guys,

read thru the book today and skipped over some basic knowledge from NASM-CPT cert; any thoughts or tips on the exam? hard easy moderate?

When I took it about 5 years ago it was pretty easy. I hear they have tightened it up a bit since though.

I took it 3+ years ago. The exam was tedious and a majority of the questions focused on track cycling, para-cycling, and anti-doping. I felt the course was a bit of a joke as I don’t think it did anything that made me qualified to be a cycling coach. Years of experience are more valuable than just reading a manual and taking an on-line exam. However, I’m sure the other coaching levels are more difficult and require attending a clinic and demonstration of coaching expertise. However, to get there you need to start with level 3.

Took it last month. Some tough questions. However it is open book so open the two main regulations in pdf format and do searches for phrases in questions.

Got it. Started it earlier today before I had to leave got to question 31 out of 121 will pick it up shortly.

I thought some of the level 2 usa cycling was really good. I thought the exam was harder than the USAT level 2, but I’ve heard the usatf is by far the most detailed process of either cycling, tri or running. Not sure on swimming, I just work with local coaches on pool deck for that experience.

Interesting. My hope is to compete it tonight. I ordered it yesterday and paid for background check yesterday so I hope to pass prior to background check approval and then order my license
