US TV coverage for the Giro D'Italia?

Is this year’s Giro being televised in the US? Last year, it was on BeIN Sports, but I haven’t seen a mention of it this year.

Same in Canada, we had great coverage of the Spring Classics but nothing from Italy. No Strada and no Giro.

I’m hoping it will be on NBC Sports Gold. They have full coverage of the Amgen Tour of California, Criterium du Dauphine, and Tour de Suisse on the calendar. Ryan

And that’s* it *= no Giro

.

I have seen promotions for Fubo.tv which took over the rights for BEIN Sport.

You have to pay the base subscription per month $35/month and add the cycling network for $9/month.

Its worth it for people who do internet TV and cut the cord, but personally I am subscribing to the same channels twice.

I will stick to my eurosport feed on the computer/ or some HD feeds on youtube.

^^ How much?! Hell no that won’t fly. When Netflix or hulu or amazon streaming are about $10 a month, why would anyone pay an unknown streaming provider $35 a month, PLUS another whatever for a “package” (that tactic is straight out of a cable/Telco cabal playbook)?

I’d happily pay to watch streams of the tour, giro etc… I already pay for motogp & triathlon live.

At the moment there’s great free coverage of all the cycling events (sorry, I’m not linking/revealing where, but google for pretty much all cycling events with ‘stream’ & you’ll likely find it).

But I’ve not found anyway that I can get the same ‘all cycling’ lineup for a yearly/monthly fee.

today only (May 3) fubo.tv offering $5 per month (instead of the $34) plus the $8.95 to stream Giro.

I am an Xfinity (Comcast) customer in the US mid-Atlantic. I looked this morning, its being covered by an obscure network, probably in Italian or Spanish. i’ll check the number at home.

and classic Xfinity, I couldn’t find it in the search function. but if I used the voice command search, it pop’d right up.

Let me know, I am also on Xfinity and tried searching last night.

For $9 a month I get every cycling race and I can stream, if I cut the cord Fubo.tv may be worth it.

The 55 channels included are mostly all the channels I watch. I am probably missing about 5 channels, CBS/ABC owned channels. I can probably get those 5 channels somewhere else. Or even subscribe to Hulu, which does have everything I watch. I wish Hulu had the cycling extension that Fubo is offering.

Sucks that Comcast internet only packages rates are way too high for me to even consider this.

Where do you see the promo for Fubo.tv? I don’t see anything on their site about that rate.

I don’t see that on the website, do you have more info?

Also to anybody who uses fubo, do you know if you can timeshift, or would this only get you live broadcast?

I found a Groupon for one month of fubo.tv for $5. I think I’m going to give it a try.

The below is stated on the Groupon site and I’ve read it in other places too where it said you could have three shows recorded at one time.

And if you aren’t able to watch a game live, no sweat—fuboTV has a DVR feature that lets you record games to watch later.

I believe I saw it on steephill.tv website, they have daily updates and the one for May 3 has the offer from fubo.tv for the Giro.

here’s the 411.

on Xfinity (USA - Philly region), its 679 - RAI Italia. so broadcast in Italian.

the Fubo deal is here.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and got the Groupon deal.

I completed the signup and both the $34.99 Fubo premier fee and $8.99 cycling add-on for the first month are covered by the $5 Groupon deal. Not bad.

In addition to the live stream, I hope fubo.tv also has an on demand feature once the stages are complete in days later. I can never keep up with all of them live. Anyone know on this?
