Quite the drama in the first round between Medvedev vs. Bonzi…
IMO, I think the photographer messed up. Medvedev wasn’t a good sport. And the umpire didn’t handle it well. More info…

Yeah, that was an interesting match to watch. Medvedev sitting on his bench wrecking his racket (after throwing all his spares into the crowd) after the match, and the network going ahead with Bonzi’s interview while Medvedev sat and sulked…
The photographer has apparently had his credentials pulled for the rest of the tournament.
Sounds like it was fun to watch. I’ll be keeping up the rest of the tourney for sure.
Yeah, talk about a momentum killer. Glad that Bonzi finally prevailed in the end.
Not in the article, but there also full clips of Medvedev’s racket destruction.
Kudos to Bonzi. I thought he was cooked after getting bageled in the 4th set and started the 5th by losing his serve.
Djokovic also looked tired even when he won in straight sets. Not sure how far he’ll advance in the tourney.

Only Fans as a side gig even after accruing $2M from tennis??
(note - she’s not actually in the draw, not having made it through the qualifiers. Maybe the OF isn’t such a bad idea)
With the chatter about Serena pitching GLPs in that other thread, sister Venus looked good (physically) for a 45 year old that hasn’t been playing much.
Her game looked good too, until she ran out of gas in the third set.
Was funny listening to the commentator saying “I’m not sure we’ve ever seen anything like it”. And “Medvedev has completely lost control of his emotions”.
I’m sitting there thinking, why isn’t McEnroe commentating?
