Urinating on the bike

Lactate doesn’t work the way you think it works.

Ever think that it was because you let off the pedals when you peed?

You are now storing pee inside your legs. Like a septic super-camel.

John

So last weekend I competed in a 70.3 and noticed something I had experienced before in my previous four 70.3 races. I have always urinated on the bike or while running since I’m normally racing towards the front. When I was on the bike I could feel lactate building in my legs. I urinated twice and both times my legs felt completely fresh and strong. This was also the case when I was running. This was the first race on a new nutrition plan that is very high in sodium but it worked very well as I had PR’s across the board. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if someone could explain the physiological adaption my body was making. Thanks

Pathetic. If you need to urinate whilst running or cycling you are over hydrating. You don’t need any sodium either.

Is this bollox typical of this forum?

I get off my bike and set it against a wall and urinate on my bike, usually on my power meter…

not what this threads about?

I’d try to find a better setup for a back-door brag.
