Triyoda needs to tack on a 4000m swim into that and add another loop of the bike, followed by a 40 min transition run if he expects to lure anyone out, and actually claim any time to be legit.
Hey, the week of Kona last year was 21 hours of training in 6 days (including the race)…does this count as tapering…or should it be at least a 25-30 hour week, lest I be accused of sandbagging and doing what dead people do (which would be resting…).
If I did not have to stand in line at 9 am on Monday, I’d be out to ride with Yoda up Whiteface, but I can use the excuse of the sign up to bail out
Good luck this weekend. Save some energy for the Esprit 1/2 in September. After my dismal performance in Peterborough, you’ve convinced me to do another long race this season so I’ve got 2 months to whip this fat body into shape (I’ve already come down 4lbs since Peterborough!).
Good luck this weekend, Dev. I am sending a few friends out from Boise to LP this year to race for me while I recover from back surgery. Be nice to Jake, we call him the “Quadfather”. Hopefully see you next year at the Oval.
Sue, we’ll see you for sure back at the oval in 2009 for the 10 year anniversay of Ironman LP. Perhaps earlier if I head back to Wildflower in the spring, however, my heart is wanting to either head back to the island of St. Croix or hit the Galibier like the Tour riders did today…vacation time, time away from famlily and money is limited, so I have to pick one out of three…but hey, I have it pretty good. Most guys end up batting zero percent when it comes to this type of stuff. Batting 0.333 is a hall of fame batting average.
I might be there too. Since I’m biking up from nyc the two days before, my pace going up the mountain may be a bit on the slower side. But, if I make it out of bed in time, count me in.

So from Placid you’ll be biking to Kona , right ; )
