Lance retires, period. I love all of you speculating out there on so and so is fit and ready to give Lance a run for his money, but the plain truth is that the race is already over. Barring a major illness or crash, this is a walk in the park for Lance. It is like when Mark Allen had his run of 10 straight Nice victories, and 6 Ironman wins. These guys are just so much better than anyone alive right now, they could win blindfolded. I watched Mark win Nice one year with the flu. It was kind of like a horse race, he had been weighted down to even the field, but still won. That is Lance in the tour. And I’ll tell you something about Lance, he will want this one more than all the others. He may not admit it, but this is the one that puts him in Bob Beamom, Mark Spitz, and Babe Ruth territoy. It will be a record for the ages, and quite possible will never be broken. Much like Paula Newby-Frasier’s Ironman record of wins, it seems almost inconcievable that it would ever be broken. In the past 100 years of cycling look how hard 5 wins was, let alone in a row. Seven, our grandchildren will be reading that record in the Guiness book. He has already left his DNA to the ages through his kids, but guys like Lance have a drive to leave their name to the ages also. He will make it seem difficult as always in the beginning, but deep down it’s a done deal for him. Argue all you want, but just look at the history and explain that away. He will win number 7, no problem, and his legacy will be set for centuries…

I can tell you that the stock market S and P 500 will go up an average of 11% each year over the long term of your investment. No trading, just leave it there when you are in your 20’s, and wait until you retire in your 60’s, and I gurantee you your returns. Once again, look at your history, and all will become clear…
I agree 100% with the stocks…as for Lance…does not matter how bad he wants it…others want to take it just as bad.

It’s not about wanting it, I want it. Lance owns it, and others will have to take it from him, and no matter how bad they want it, they just aren’t good enough to take it from him. Besides being physically superior to the entire field, he is mentally superior to them. How could he not be after 6 wins in a row. The others remind me of boxers who had to fight some of the greatest in their primes. They would come out with all kinds of hot air, and smack talking, and I’m gonna do this, and I’m gonna do that, but in the end , they just got beat up. I think they always knew they were going to get beat up deep down inside, but they have to put on an air of invincibility, or they would never step into the ring with these killers…Lance is a killer, and by the way, still in his prime…

I don’t know who will win. Yes right now, Lance is above the rest in the Tour, at least he was the last 6 years, but the truth is that, you’re speculating like everyone else.
What were your last 6 finishing times for the past 6 years for this race, and how is your condition compared to other years leading up to that race. I’m not pulling this out of a hat people, it’s history, his current form, and the lack of anyone new coming out of the wood work to challenge him.

This is the first Ironman UK race. Until last year it was a half ironman.
Absolutity it is speculation. The next second of each of our lives is speculation, but there are trends in life, as in nature. The sun will probably rise tomorrow, the Arabs will probably still hate us Americans,the French will probably screw up the EU, and Lance will most likely win the tour again.
