Can you recommend a good men’s jammer swimsuit in the $40 to $60 range? My two previous suits have been speedo (not sure model/style) in the $40 price point purchased from academy or dicks. I’ve been disappointed in the lifespan of these speedo suits. The Lycra or stretch material begins to deteriorate after 3 months and approximately 4 hours per week in the pool. Can you make a suggestion for a longer lasting suit? Thanks!
Get the Speedo Endurance. It’s a couple dollars more but they last 1 to 2 years.
The Speedos I used to get from Dicks lasted about 3 months for me too.

Are you buying polyester or spandex/lycra suits? Lycra will fall apart quickly in chlorinated pools. Polyester should last quite awhile (regardless of manufacturer).
I have had polyester Speedo, Tyr and Finis and all have lasted very well with mostly pool swimming. Tyr fit me the best.
Also make sure to follow the cleaning instructions and they last best. Rinse in cold non chlorinated water after use. Don’t run them through the wash and drier.
Thanks. Don’t they all have a small % of Lycra/spandex?
If you already know your size just order them from here. Polyester stands up to chlorine significantly better than lycra. Also make sure to rinse it when you get out of the pool and hang dry.

We’ve been ordering from them for at least 10 years and have always had a good experience.
Not all do. Some are 100% polyester, some have varying amount of lycra. The less lycra the longer it will last.
I use some square-leg TYR durafast suits. They last a very long time, and are in that price range.
You used “speedo” and “dicks” in the same sentence. Awesome!

I use both the TYR Durafast and Speedo Endurance. Both last a long long time.
another vote for speedo endurance here, ive used both the square leg and the jammer. no experience with the tyr’s though.
I use Arena jammers which are made from their heavier “Waternity” fabric and they have lasted for years. In fact I now have three pairs because I can’t justify throwing the old ones out, they’re still good. Fabric is probably similar to Speedo Endurance. Can thoroughly vouch for the comfort & longevity of the Arena suits and although they make some high-end stuff, these ones are in your price range I’d think.

2 things. First, if memory serves, there are 4 different grades or levels of lycra fabric. Xtra Life Lycra being the best. A number of big boxes get the lower quality stuff like spandex and sell for cheap. So it won’t last. 2. the pool you swim in has more to do with it than anything. Most pool chemicals are poorly maintained so it’s very likely the pool is more to blame than the suit.
poly suits like endurance, durafast, etc will last much longer, so go with a poly.
